This talk will introduce the audience to Semiotics and then show how, with the usage of signs and signals and the ability to infer states from sequences and patterns of such, the complex task of systems management can be significantly simplified compared to the complicatedness that pervades current thinking in Observability.
Devoted to seeking ways of significantly simplifying the cognitive complexity found in enterprise software systems engineering, and explored many other domains and disciplines, looking for ideas that can be cross-pollinated into software engineering, systems design, and service operations.
